Consider Them if You Love Him!

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think;  but to think soberly, accordingly as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.  (Romans 12:3)

The question arises when we are busy running to various places trying to get our errands done and trying to please our appetite for food and entertainment  do we ever stop to consider others? It is God's expectation for all believers that we consider them if we truly love him!

When we stand in our closets, in the mirror, when we open our refrigerator and decide to eat out because we don't want leftovers. When we sit in our air conditioned homes, ride in our air conditioned cars, listening to our music without a care in the world do we consider others?

Paul is encouraging the church at Rome that being selfish and self centered is not of God. Spending all your time focusing on you, your material possessions, and your status in society is not conducive to doing things God's way.  The Apostle Paul advises all believers not think more highly of themselves that they really should. Rather be honest, be realistic and then to treat or consider others like Christ  has dealt with us. He loved us, he saved us, he forgave us, he watches over us, he blesses us and so much more. Therefore consider how you are relating to others, are you forgiving, kind, giving and loving? "It is God's expectation for all believers that we consider them if we truly love him!

Which Crowd Are You In?

On the next day much people that  were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. (John 12:12-13) When the chief priest therefore and the officers saw him, they cried out, saying, crucify him, crucify him. Pilate said unto them, take him away and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. (John 19:6)

Many folks attend church but not many render praise, honor and glory to the Lord God almighty. Many sing in the choir and sit on the deacon board but giving God an enthusiastic praise is optional. The bible says that in heaven there will be a great crowd of witnesses, and I truly want to be in that number. However, before you can worship and praise him on high, you must learn to do so down here. "Which Crowd Are You In?"

John the beloved disciple, writes about  Christ final week of his earthly ministry?  The crowd that received him was excited and rendered praise. Hosanna, Hosanna, in the highest. They loved the Lord and wanted him to be King and Lord. They had  seen his miracles, had heard him preach and they worshipped  him. But just a few days later when the crowd was gathered at Pilate's court he gave them the opportunity to free Jesus, but instead the religious leaders yelled crucify him.

Now consider your crowd, you and your family, friends, the people you hang out with. Will you praise him, will you worship, will you choose Jesus?  Or will you choose to crucify him by denying him, disobeying him and sinning agains His word? "Which Crowd Are You in?
