Who Is Your Family?

But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? And who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister and mother! (Matthew 12:48-50)

In a society where diversity is talked about but not practiced. Where acceptance of others is paramount as long as you are not a person of faith. The reality for all believers is that we are living in a season where standing on your faith could mean standing alone. This is a critical time for the body of Christ, which is why all believers must know who there family truly is? Who are the people that share beliefs and who have like faith. Family is about having the same mind! Have you truly considered, "Who is your family?

Many believers spend their life trying to build Godly relationships with ungodly folk. The book of Matthew records Jesus advising one who interrupted him to inform him that his mother, brothers and sister was present. Jesus responded with a question, who is my mother or my brethren? He then answered his own question by saying, these (my disciples) they are my family. They are my brothers and sisters.

This message of embracing your Christian brothers and sisters as your true family suggest that the blood of Jesus unites us as believers even closer than shared  DNA.  Those who are committed to doing the will of God, should be united in a common belief that has eternal significance. If the body of Christ is going to influence the world, we must truky know who our family is! WHO IS YOUR FAMILY?

What does God in Heaven see in you on earth?

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness:   (Romans 1:18)

If you have the opportunity to look up into the night, on a clear cloudless sky, the stars appear to twinkly and literally dance in the night. With the human eyes we do not see exactly what is happening in deep sky beyond the stars, however our great God, who sits high and looks low, is looking down at us. His divine vision allows him to see everything, everyone every second of every day. We casually say He never sleeps or slumbers, but it is not only a spiritual truth but it is comforting to know that He is always present! Are you okay with the fact that God is watching? "What Does God in Heaven see in you on earth?

The Apostle Paul's objective was geared around  strengthening the faith of the new gentile believers who had settled in the new testament church at Rome. Specifically, he wanted to ensure their doctrinal foundation was rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ, death burial and resurrection. Paul advised that God's wrath will be revealed against all ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men who does not  operate in truth.

Paul's message can be translated, if you know what righteousness is, and you are suppressing it, holding it from being visible to all humanity then God will bring down in his wrath. What ungodly act, what unrighteous words have you spoken and God has looked down and witnessed. He is watching and God is going to deal with any and all of our actions that are displeasing in his sight!  You can run but you cannot hide, for God's wrath will follow God's will.
