Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.-Matthew 5:9
In a society where the possibility of terror is part of our culture, where parents, both fathers and mothers are caught on tape encouraging their child to fist fight with another child. A society where the more violent the movie or sport the more prosperous it will be as consumers flock to view it. The question must be asked, where are the peacemakers? Where are the men and women who will stand up and stand against evil and violent crimes. Who will protect the children, the widows, the women against predators who seek to hurt and harm them.
Yet violent behavior is not the only destroyer of peace. Do you have peace of mind, because you know that you are saved, because you are not concerned about your resources, your next meal, or the balance on your past due bill? What is it that is keeping you up late at night? Is it a child gone astray that no one seems to care about but you? Is it a relationship that you have invested in for years, but now it seems like a bad investment. In the beatitudes Jesus spoke of the peacemakers who would be called the children of God. The word in the original language is from a root word meaning peaceable. A person capable or able to bring peace, through what they say or do.
There are folk who would rather argue than agree on anything. However, if you are a born again child of God, you are predestined to be a peacemaker. One who seeks to bring peace, prosperity and provision in the midst of chaos, poverty and problems. No matter what season you are in, the choice is yours. "Are You A Peacemaker?

"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies?" -Proverbs31:10
There are many great men who have done great things in our society and in the world, such as, Martin, Malcolm, Billy Graham, Bill Gates, Einstein and all the Presidents of the Greatest Nation on Earth including our current President Barack Obama, they all have one thing in common. They were nurtured, encouraged and loved by a mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister or church mother. They became leaders, inventors, world class musicians, scientist, athletes but not without the love from her.
If you are one of God’s beautiful creations, that Adam called Woman, then you are gifted with an internal mechanism that makes you invaluable. Yes, you too have become entrepreneurs, leaders, talk show host, Secretary of State and presidential candidates, but you are even more than that. The virtuous woman of Proverbs was worth more than rubies. There is no indication of how many or how much the rubies are worth. Which suggest the rubies value is endless, and so are you woman of God. However we must make sure that we live like the woman God called us to be. Don’t answer to names that God did not give you. Don’t live in situations that God did not ordain. Yes you are beautiful, yes you are highly favored like Mary, and yes you’re a daughter of the King.
Men of God, you today is a great day to honor the women who the creator has placed in your life. Whether she’s your wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt or an encouraging friend give honor where honor is due. Don’t treat them like what the world says, but what the Word says. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!
